Does SilentOne integrate with Microsoft Office?

Yes, SilentOne currently integrates with key applications from the Microsoft Office suite. This provides users with access to SilentOne’s functions (eg Searching, Check-out) directly from the menu of the individual Office applications.

What security structure does SilentOne allow?

SilentOne provides for a very flexible, fine-grained security structure, based on who can access a library item or collection, and what they can do with it.

We don't enforce a one-size-fits-all structure, so maybe you want all trusted people to see everything but with restricted access to sensitive items, for example:
  • HR records         • legal / financial docs
  • project folders    • special project folders

It‘s easy to set up, and also easy to fine-tune the overall rules for individual items or collections where needed.

Is SilentOne based on recognised standards?

SilentOne has been built incorporating recognised standards, notable those associated with the NZ Public Records Act.  At a technical level, SilentOne’s design is based on Open Source and Internet standards.

Is SilentOne Public Records Act compliant?

SilentOne has been designed and built to enable organisations to achieve Public Records Act compliance.
